About Me

I am follower of Christ doing my best to be a good and faithful servant. I am not perfect, but I follow the One who is. I am the blessed wife of a strong and sensitive husband; a writer, artist, flutist, and food enthusiast. I spend my days reading the Word of God, sharing what I’ve learned with others, volunteering my time, and doing whatever my Creator has called me to.

I love Jesus, my husband, listening to music, drinking tea, wrapping myself comfy blankets, petting dogs, the season of autumn, and watching the Lord of the Rings!

Why did I start this blog?

The short answer is: because God told me to.

The seed for this blog was planted about three years ago, but no matter what I did (in my own power), it never got off the ground. Defeated and discouraged about other pursuits and personal projects, the Lord finally gave me the go ahead near the end of 2025 - but I didn’t want to do it. It was probably about three months of me dragging my feet before I finally obeyed, and started the blog again with a new logo, and new purpose.

The mission of this blog is simply to help people love themselves and one another better, by better understanding the character of God.

Growing up, I often felt overlooked and unheard. I felt out of place, awkward and discouraged. That’s all changed, thanks to my Savior! Now that I know Him, I live in confidence of good things to come, feeling more myself than I ever have because my worth lies in His eyes, not in myself or anyone else’s opinions. This blog is about navigating this crazy world at the always sure and ever-steady side of God, understanding His holy character, and seeing ourselves through the loving eyes of the One who created us.
